Her online profile listed her as 2 years of age and 10lbs. Of course you should always take these with a grain of salt because they’re just approximates, but she was about the Love of my life Simone Simons shirt and by the same token and size and age we wanted (very small, already an adult). The foster also said that info was accurate. We completed the adoption process but had to wait about a month for her to get on a transport so she could get her spay. When she got off the transport she was easily twice the size listed and the paperwork they handed me said she was approximately one year. The intake documents for the rescue listed her as weighing 17lbs. (and emaciated), not 10. A two year old dog that weighs 10lbs. is a young adult who is no longer growing so you can expect her to maybe gain a pound or two after settling in. A one year old is a teenager who still has about a year of growth ahead of her and is still very puppy-ish in manner. So rather than a 10-12lb. adult I now have a pup who’s approaching 30lbs. which is healthy and proportional to her current size. My vet also confirmed that based on her teeth she was around one year, possibly younger at her first appointment.

And hey, I love her and I’m not an asshole. I believe when you get a pet you commit to that pet for life, regardless of what comes down the Love of my life Simone Simons shirt and by the same token and road! But imagine if I was living an apartment with a size limit or had other reasons for needing a very tiny dog? She’s is great, but I also am a little miffed that I can’t sling her under my arm lol. Like computer software and heated car seats, dogs are now subscription services rather then purchases. We are truly living in the dumbest timeline. The pet breeder/rescue industry is filled with I incredibly greedy people or nut jobs who have a mental illness that manifests itself as animal hoarding Go to your local shelter in adopt a dog that needs love and you won’t run into any of these problems. Dog breeders are shady as fuck in most cases, and stuff like this doesn’t surprise me at all.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
