I have anxiety and doctors always shew me away with any medical problem I have with “Oh, it’s probably just your anxiety.” It makes me more anxious now knowing I have nowhere to go where I will be taken seriously! They brought me into a room with a nurse, and an older male doctor walked in, but he didn’t even come near me or inspect the burns. He literally stood at the doorway and said “That’s just a 1st degree burn, put aloe on it and go home.” My mom was furious, and the nurse apologized and said she would get a different doctor and that he’s usually not like that.
