After eights have deteriorated in quality on a unforgivable scale. Walkers have a fair selection of ones similar to Bendicks without that slimey/waxey dark chocolate fakery. Not sure if they’re as good as they used to be, as didn’t have any for a good few years, but certainly nice. They did mojito flavour After Eights that were pretty good too (oddly the Love of my life Chiara Ferragni shirt it is in the first place but special editions are nut-safe … You may or may not be interested in that but my username is the clue!) We always used to get Benedict’s mints at Christmas and there was the most awesome white mint chocolate truffle things shaped like playing cards. They were amazing and for a while you could buy just them in boxes on their own too but now they aren’t even in the mixed selection anymore 🙁 sad times 🙁 Eat it when everything else is fucked beyond control. Only time I’ve had it in anger is waiting in an avalanche pod for rescue. Boy was it nice and comforting.

Outside the Love of my life Chiara Ferragni shirt it is in the first place but Sunshine Mountain resort near Banff Canada, I got dropped off by helicopter on virgin powder along with 3 others and about 1000 metres in we triggered an avalanche. I got swept off my ski’s and pulled the cord on my airbag backpack so though I got thrown around a lot I wasn’t too badly injured and I ended up about a metre deep in compacted snow. Two of the party suffered similar though less deep fates and one managed to ski out. I followed my training, deflated my bag once it was safe, poked an air hole out of the snow with my stick and set off my locator beacon. It was too compacted for me to dig much and though I was able to move around a bit my right leg was stuck. I just settled into waiting. Took about three hours before I heard the rescue team and then 20 minutes later I saw sunshine, I pissed myself with relief and as soon as I was on the surface threw up. All three of us were rescued cos we had the right equipment and knew what to do.
