Remember- If you’re not planning on voting blue no matter who in November, don’t bother complaining about Roe. It’s disrespectful to women and those of left trying to prevent total Republican fascist takeover. For people who worship “a loving and merciful god”, they are just incapable of seeing anyone else’s viewpoint until it happens to them, and even then, begrudgingly so. “I’m still a conservative even though I realized that conservatives are terrible people but not being a conservative anymore would mean I have to acknowledge my Love is the answer Valentines day shirt it is in the first place but flawed views at face value and that would make me weak-minded.” Can we acknowledge that it’s a little weird that people who view abortions as killing babies are hypocritical to say it’s okay to kill a baby if it’s rape or incest? I think it’s fine to have an abortion for more circumstances than just those because I don’t view it as killing babies to begin with. I’m just asking as a devil’s advocate. Conservatives are so “it’s only a problem if it happens to me” and I can understand that, it’s natural to be selfish, I don’t judge. There are a lot of things that you can’t really know unless they happen to you. Maybe that’s why it’s best to keep your opinions as just opinions and not try to impose them as laws or social pressure on others, because you’re not in their situation.

Every fucking time. These people can’t grasp empathy. They will only feel bad if it happens to them. This is why it’s so important that our kids read when they’re little. It teaches them how to put themselves in other people’s shoes. Since I don’t view my politics like I do my sports teams, I’m going to settle on empathy for these people. Look, they are human. They could have and should have made better choices previously. Also, they are facing an incredibly horrible situation. I think it is counter productive to pile on people after they have suffered a life changing event that are suffering in a way they never have before, especially when it causes them to have realizations that they should have had previously. Sure, it shouldn’t take it happening to them for them to be able to understand the Love is the answer Valentines day shirt it is in the first place but impact to others, but the original poster DOES now understand the impact to others and is openly advocating for them. We should offer the empathy for them that they are now finally willing to offer to others and advocate for them rather than indulging in schadenfreude and taking any joy from their pain.
