This sounds like a very Gen Z behaviour. I do agree it’s a bit strange but I would say just ignore the Los Angeles Lakers Michael Jordan Witness 40k signature shirt and I love this messages and they would stop. If the message questions come up during one of your meets with him, Just say you are not on phone enough to respond as you have family and you get so busy with your family life after work that you get no time to respond. Or just say you are not a phone person and usually you forget to check your phone. Even if he doesn’t text anything weird or that crosses the line, I just don’t think you two texting is necessary.
