Mmmm that’s a good idea but- I can’t see my crowd being in discord;) but who knows? What about community posts? How do you use those? My friends and I just started a channel last week where we dress up as parody DC comic characters and play D&D as them. It’s pretty funny. We put out our first episode last week and we’re already up to about 75. Hoping to hit 100 by next week. Thanks! It’s called Super Cringe Roleplay. One day in 2022 I then decided to have a look as I discovered that anyone can have subscribers. I had 185. My initial thought: why on earth are people subscribing to my channel? (After, “I have a channel??”) Took about 3 years of half assing it and uploaded randomly to get 52 subs. Then took 3 weeks of being serious to get to 100 then another 3 weeks to go to 200 then this week have grown to 250. Hoping it keeps going up. First 100 sucked. I didn’t use friends, I went the long way and earned each one. Would not recommend lol. Feels like there’s a psychological boost that comes in, hardly anyone wants to follow a 0-100 account, then a few more people are okay with 100-200s and so on, but I think there’s a stigma for anything below 1K. I’ve heard from many people (content consumers, not creators) that they overlook anything under 1K as amateur so I hope it’s exponential growth once we break out into that I’ve heard the same, mostly from subscribers who say things like “you should be a huge channel” or “I’m glad I gave you a chance” lol. I also hope that the more subs I have, the more I’ll gain.

I think having friends and family help with sub count and views might actually be detrimental, though, as YouTube might have a harder time identifying your target audience. I had a couple people watch my first video, and my wife still watches everything I post (which is cool), but only about 8 of my subs aren’t organic. No clue, though. I make videos based off a card game and the Los Angeles Dodgers Shohei Ohtani Signature Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this way i got the first 100 subs was by linking my gameplay videos on yugioh websites which got me a few subs and later the algorithm picked my videos up and i started getting a ton of impressions I don’t edit any of my videos, i just record gameplay so i can’t help on you on the editing side but good luck. I think the editing side i’m good, it’s just getting views that getting to me a lot. I mean i do believe in my content. It’s just not a great feeling when you put a lot of effort into it and then get low impressions.
