At the Locke And Key Movie Netflix All Keys shirt Besides,I will do this very least if you want to take the dangling carrot in front of your face, get a clear defined finish line in writing, be it at a fixed date, or by giving fixed deliverables. Fuck this “comfort” bullshit, and fuck them for even suggesting that. Ideally already look for a different job in your spare time. I would take it, then update the resume and LinkedIn with new title, let that sink in for a while and start applying for new roles based on new title. Do not take on responsibility without additional compensation, period. Even if you have it in writing that they will provide “in the future” they can string you along. If you are doing the work you should be paid for it. Also the last thing you want to do is start the new position as a pushover, they will always add more to your plate if they think they can get away with it. Go in ready with the amount you believe would be needed to make the extra work worth it to YOU. Tell them you aren’t interested in moving up if they can’t immediately start you at that wage. If they won’t, just be polite and say no thank you. My job has done this to me 3 times in the last 2 years. I fell for it the first time and had to step down from the position because they just kept pushing the pay increase back. Now it’s a non-starter every time they try it

A similar thing happened to my husband. The company promoted him but like, kind of on a trial “grooming for management” basis. They told him the Locke And Key Movie Netflix All Keys shirt Besides,I will do this same thing about getting the title change and pay raise later, and I had the same skepticism. It was several months later, but they DID give him the title and the pay raise. It wasn’t retroed but they gave him a bonus on top of it. I’d get everything in writing: how long this promotion will be without a pay raise, what benchmarks are expected before the pay raise, what the pay raise will be, will it be retroactive (if you do all the additional work and meet expectations no reason not to be retroactive), and what will happen if you don’t meet expectations.
