Ok then not for OP’s sake but for the Lil Grinchmas Bluey shirt In addition,I will do this sake of everyone else reading this, they are not universally correct. They are expressing a stylistic convention that is very common now. Other editorial styles exist, for example the one I was taught in grammar school in the 1980’s where the teacher absolutely mandated the apostrophe must be used there. And which I continue to use as a form of educated trolling to needle the pedantic. Especially the ones who believe “style” can possible have “factually correct” in the first place or the ones who actually interfere with the clarity of academic writing by trying to fix the wrong things. It’s not “factually incorrect punctuation” btw. It’s grammatically incorrect information. The error in ’90’s does not pertain to facts. “Rule: The plurals for letters are typically not formed with apostrophes. However, do use an apostrophe and an s for the plural of a single letter if not doing so would make the meaning unclear.”

Some additional info on the Lil Grinchmas Bluey shirt In addition,I will do this do’s and don’ts of apostrophes for plurals that cites both the AP and Chicago style guide: Only for lowercase individual letters, but as I’ve already pointed out elsewhere in this thread, in 99% of situations you’re supposed to use uppercase individual letters, as it eliminates the possibility of ambiguity entirely. “Because this column conforms to Associated Press editing style, and in AP Style, that’s the rule: do’s and don’ts. Someone at AP decided years ago that this way is just easier on the eye. Publications that follow this style — that is, most print news outlets in the country — comply.”
