Absolute horseshit. The refs were calling plenty of penalties yesterday in the Life is better with snake T-Shirt moreover I love this Leafs/Bolts and Bruins/Canes games, the reffing wasn’t great, but it sets a good precedent for the series if they aren’t swallowing their whistles. This was the perfect opportunity for the league to set a precedent that they will come down on shit like this that does not belong anywhere, and it wouldn’t be the NHL if they didn’t fucking squander it. Plenty of terrible calls in the Blues/Wild game too. Hell, Both of the first 2 were egregiously bad (holding on the Blues, hooking on the wild that lead to a penalty shot) Yeah, now there’s going to be a retaliation. Spurgeon is going to miss 3 games with an upper body injury(Concussion) and Bortuzzo is gonna get a 4 game suspension when he Raffi Torres’ him. Then we’re all gonna look at DoPS and Parros is gonna be grinning like an idiot because he got what he wanted.

And it’ll be the Life is better with snake T-Shirt moreover I love this most watched game of the night, so the league will just continue to do the same shit in the future. Blues player goes in for a hard but clean hit on Spurgeon, he leans forward a bit so it turns into unavoidable head contact since he’s 5’ 2” The league only cares about when an injury occurs. Had he stayed on the ice grabbing at his ankle so they stopped play, he 100% would have gotten a suspension. The fact that he stood right up and skated away negated everything. It’s so stupid. People get headshot all the time but if they immediately get up and skate away the league doesn’t even look at it. Same play and the person lays on the ice for a few mins and it’s a suspension. Clifford makes a stupid check and gets 5mins plus a game and a suspension incoming but Spurgeon makes a way more gutless play with a clear intent to injure and only gets 2mins and a fine??
