People don’t like me because I say what I think. Even when it isn’t pleasant. And some people just really don’t want honesty…they want to be placated. It may be that a person is reminded of a person from the Legend Were Born In June 1983 40 Years Old 40th Birthday T-Shirt and I will buy this past they had a negative experience with or it may be the person reminds them of themselves and the self hatred and projection creates negative feelings… at least that’s how it was for me when I disliked people who generally were ok people who did nothing “wrong” I find about 20% of people simplify that kindness=weakness. Certain industries appear to attract these assholes more than others. Think hospitality manager, restaurant manager, textile supervisor, construction foreman, bank managers, etc. Because I don’t talk a lot. I have social anxiety. And apparently my natural face looks mean ?? But I’m actually the nicest person ever.

I don’t remember where I heard that quote, but as dismal as it sounds, it has helped me accept that not everyone is going to like me, and that’s okay. You don’t have to like someone, and thus the Legend Were Born In June 1983 40 Years Old 40th Birthday T-Shirt and I will buy this opposite is also true. Not everyone has to like you. There doesn’t have to be any rhyme or reason to it. It’s not actually about you, and it’s out of your control. So don’t dwell on it and don’t let it bother you. Emma Chamberlain just posted a podcast about disliking people today. She came to the conclusion that it’s not morally wrong to dislike people, but she’s never going to be intentionally rude to someone because of it. It sucks to be disliked when you did nothing wrong, but everyone has different life experiences that could make them feel annoyed about the qualities you possess. That’s just life.
