A lot of the Learn to discern T-Shirt But I will love this review headlines I’m reading on RT say that this is very much a Raimi movie, so it looks like they let him do his thing Didn’t realise it was only 2h 6m, for such a “big” film in terms of what it sets up, etc. it seems quite short? Raimi HATES long movies and when he is in complete control he targets 80 – 100 minutes. I’m kinda glad… most of these movies do have a little sagging bit that can be excised. As far as I know Raimi’s longest film is Spider-Man 3 at 2h 20m… and we all know a lot of that wasn’t his doing lol. His body of work speaks for itself in terms of how long a runtime he feels he needs to tell a good story. I don’t think any of the Evil Dead movies break 2 hours. You can see the duration of his movies on IMDB. 90~ is his comfort zone for his own projects, about 100~130 for adaptations. It is like saying Tarantino loves feet. He may have not said it (I’m sure he has) but we know it. I mean, I don’t think I would cut anything from Marvel’s longest films, but that being said I definitely need a break from back to back to back 150+ minute movies Ikr sounds like they aren’t going to waste a lot of time on set ups since a lot of stuff is revealed in the trailers and tv spots. Its going to be a crazy action-packed fast paced movie and im here for it.

I thought it was really great fun! Don’t want to say much else about it but I think the Learn to discern T-Shirt But I will love this character arcs were all very complete. It’s quite a freaky movie haha definitely had more than my share of jumps. You’re saving my back actually! Sounds like the first one is worth staying for, the second one at the very end I can catch another time I think I’ve been catching the Phase 4 movies off Disney+ because family life makes it hard to go to the cinema. This one is making me consider catching an after-midnight screening after the kids are tucked in. I already negotiated with the wife… of course their demands are ‘lux, dinner, drinks’ but I cannot whine about that. I do tend to prefer the Rotten Tomatoes scores because I find number scores pretty arbitrary and just wanna know how many people actually liked it or not. The only issue is that a lot of people tend to use rotten tomatoes as a number score and treat a 90% positive as a 9/10 movie when that really isn’t the case. Pre-Endgame MCU movies often got really good scores, with the lowest ones mostly having reactions of “the action is fun and characters are funny, but not much substance otherwise”. There was also a lot of criticism around MCU films being too “same-same” tonally, structurally, and stylistically, but hey it was a proven formula that got good marks and made a lot of money. It’s clear to me that Kevin Feige listens to everything people say about Marvel Studios films but I think what sets him apart is that he isn’t out to please everyone. A lot of execs will receive any piece of negative criticism and change everything to address it and change the perception. Feige, IMHO, takes it all in and weighs the criticisms against both the films themselves and their future plans. With this post-Endgame MCU, it’s really easy to see that they’ve been making strides and pursuing stories to help them break their own mold. While it worked for the series, FAWS and maybe Hawkeye (but imo not rly) was the only series that felt like a “normal MCU film”, with Eternals and Shang-Chi and every other D+ show delivering something entirely unseen from Marvel Studios before, each with its own feeling and mechanics.
