“One of the Land of the free because of the brave flag shirt it is in the first place but saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” It’s stunning how aware some of these people are. I can give them a pass if I assume they’re just not thinking about their positions, but to say something like “I don’t care if it’s true, it feels true,” that’s a level of awareness about their positions that is disturbing to me. They know it’s not truth, but they still want to support it. Incredible.

Land of the free because of the brave flag shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Recently talking to my Father and uncles, I corrected them that you cannot actually swallow your own tongue even in a seizure…its a wive’s tale. I had to send them overwhelming data from books, research studies, scientific papers, medical case studies, interviews at John Hopkins, etc. One Uncle conceded, two of them detached from the Land of the free because of the brave flag shirt it is in the first place but conversation after arguing. I said “Ok what evidence do you need to see, what level or type of proof would change your mind? Then my own Father looked me dead in the eyes and he said “Nothing. I don’t care if you’re right, nothing you show me will ever change my mind. I know what I want to know.” Tell him hes stupid then. There is no other way to interpret that. these people need to start feeling ashamed of these positions. I read it for the first time back in 2020 and i remember highlighting a passage that was so relevant to current times it was eerie as hell
