A friend of mine was going overland to India when his landrover broke down in the Lainey Wilson American country music singer-songwriter Fabulous Frequencies T-Shirt in addition I really love this mountains of Afghanistan. They were saved from freezing to death when his still conscious son heard a truck approaching, got out of the vehicle and waved it down. My friend said he thought they were all going to die but that it was a peaceful, soft process and if he could choose his own death, it would be by freezing. Fate handed him a massive heart attack. Moving around constantly probably helps them retain warmth in their insulated clothing. Once they stop moving and start to rest, they’ll start losing body heat pretty quickly. Many deaths in high-altitude mountaineering have been caused by the effects of the death zone, either directly (loss of vital functions) or indirectly (unwise decisions made under stress or physical weakening leading to accidents). In the death zone, the human body cannot acclimatize, as it uses oxygen faster than it can be replenished. An extended stay in the zone without supplementary oxygen will result in deterioration of bodily functions, loss of consciousness, and death Also the amount of dead bodies on Everest is crazy. 300+ dead bodies. Can’t they send helicopters to get some of the dead bodies so their families can have a funeral for them?

Recovery expeditions have occurred to remove some bodies. But it is very treacherous. Helicopters can only reach a certain level. To go any higher can be catastrophic and cause a crash. The winds are high and the Lainey Wilson American country music singer-songwriter Fabulous Frequencies T-Shirt in addition I really love this air is thin. There is no sense in risking more lives to recover dead bodies. Sometimes stone cairns are placed as a burial mound, or bodies are moved into crevices out of view. There’s not much air at these altitude, so flying helicopters are extremely hard. Less air means you need your blades moving faster to get the same lift, and less oxygen means it’s harder for your engine to function. But even at low altitudes, flying stationary close to a mountain to retrieve someone is extremely hard : winds and turbulence render this really complicated and dangerous.
