PvP is barely playable, as fights are too short to enjoy or learn an opponent’s playstyle. Going back to early game or ng+ sucks, as everything dies too quickly to have fun. Bosses instakill or stunlock death combo with a lot of their attacks, even with high vigor. LMSH is not impressive. His gameplay is literally “Wait for Malenia to do one of 3 punishable attacks and then jump attack.” The fights then take like 12 minutes with bleed and frost build up. Even when she has doubled health, she should not take that long to defeat and any souls vet could do that if they had patience That’s how Malenia is designed. If you don’t play it incredibly safe she can do a multitude of super armor attacks if you try to take the LadyThor fanart shirt and by the same token and offensive. Plus LMSH was never going for clout, he was/is doing it to help people, not to show off, so of course he plays it incredibly safe.

Ongbal did Malenia in 4 minutes with a quality cross naginata and only used a bleed shield while doing chip damage with it. It’s possible to play very offensive against her. I never said LMSH thought of himself as “pro”, it’s the LadyThor fanart shirt and by the same token and community around them that thinks of him as a god at the game, which he really isn’t. There’s a multitude of reasons LMSH got popular, him being good at the fight is just one of them. Plus everyone knows he’s not really a pro, just very good at that one specific fight, and it’s impressive enough that he dedicated so much time to learning the fight, and that he spends so much time helping people. Very little of what people like about him is how good he is at the fight outside of maybe the first time you see a video involving him. That’s true, I’ve seen some posts about saying how good he is but yeah I guess most of them go with “funny” posts of him and praising him for what he’s doing.
