Mine is also cutting her two front upper teeth. Last night she was a nightmare to get to bed and today is having weird naps and a big meltdown. That makes sense, I guess I just over think it and worry this is a new long term thing since it’s been a few weeks but it must just be a teething thing. I don’t mind him eating the puffs and crackers if it’s all he can do right now short term, just not super realistic long term. I try keep in mind that kids grow through a million weird little phases. I only ate onion rings at one point, go figure. He’s figuring a lot of stuff out. Offer him small amounts of his usual options, don’t react if he refuses, give him seconds or thirds etc if he wants. Food should be an enjoyable experience so I think it’s important to not channel our parental anxieties into it, especially when they’re feeling unwell.

Teething makes it painful to eat a lot of foods. Mine only ate cold blueberries for days when his first set of teeth came in. The subsequent teeth were much better appetite wise. If they’re teething, their mouth is sore, so it literally hurts to eat. Give them tylenol and smoothie pouches or other soft foods. Now, he was jaundice so he was overly tired the first week, but that has since cleared up but I’m still finding it hard to get him back awake to finish the feed. When we went to the doctors, they saw him gaining so I’m assuming he’s getting enough? My milk came in pretty fast and also in an over supply so I’m thinking he’s getting what he needs but just in a fast amount of time since my milk is maybe coming out fast. I have to wake him up every feed, he never wakes us up. I notice during the day he eats more, but nights are especially hard to get a decent amount in. I usually try to change him to wake him up, but to no avail.. he’s just so sleepy. Any advice? I’m more so worried that these 10-15 minutes sessions aren’t enough. If I’m lucky we can get 20-25 minutes maybe once a day. Thanks!
