I dislike African Americans but I love south indians, both are different and southies have a much better body structure It’s true that 90% of people hate dark skin or maybe if they won’t , they won’t date someone who is dark skinned even if they are dark skinned themselves but don’t worry OP , not everyone is like that and you will find someone who likes you as who you are!! Plus beauty is subjective (imo dark skinned guys with light hairs are the Kyle Kuzma Washington Wizards NBPA signature shirt it is in the first place but best) and even if dark skin is not the beauty standard here , it is in so many western countries!! So don’t feel overwhelmed and sad okay? I’m there if you ever wanna talk .. plus beauty dosen’t define your worth Oh dear! I am alarmed by so many things. would you want to be with someone who judges a person based on their skin color? So ideally you shouldn’t even be concerned about men or anyone who gives any importance to color of your skin. Keep such people out of your life. At this age, the most important thing you can give yourself is build self esteem and confidence. That will serve you throughout life. I think looks and skintone are not same, there are so many elegant ladies with comparatively darker skintone. But forget about all these, what is point of being beautiful only from outside while having an ugly personality ?

Honestly (and this is not me hitting on you or something like that), I have always found darker, dusky girls to be way more attractive than pale skinned or fair girls. I have a huge crush on the Kyle Kuzma Washington Wizards NBPA signature shirt it is in the first place but likes of Deepika, Radhika Apte and in sports PV Sindhu. And apart from me I am sure there are many guys like this and people who are sapiosexual that is they find intelligence, smartness, personality, ability to hold conversation attractive instead of physical appearance. On a side note, whatever you read on social media in general might be a reflection of a larger part of society but not the entire society and honestly love and relationship and marriage and companionship rarely hinges on physical attractiveness cuz of it did all the supermodels, actresses and actors would not be divorced and be in eternal bliss. So just instead of focusing on things beyond your control i.e. looks, genes, background, caste etc. Focus work and improve on things which can be changed and be the best at whatever you do while striving to achieve excellence.

Star wars master yoda shirt So colorism is a huge problem in our culture. Constantly fed images and media of lighter skinned people = good & what we should aspire to be. Remember Fair & Lovely? In laws saying to men don’t marry someone dark your babies will come out dark. A lot of dark actresses were not prioritized. Even dark men get comments from people who themselves are dark! It’s a problem within our society. 30+f, dark skinned and still hear mean colorist comments occasionally. From Pani puri wala to relatives and friends. Are they all bad people? Nope. That’s just how fu*ked up the Kyle Kuzma Washington Wizards NBPA signature shirt it is in the first place but society is. Colorism is deeply ingrained in Indian minds. I have even seen dark skinned men/women making colorist comments on other dark skinned men/women. Growing up the teachers always picked on me at school thinking dark people are dumb, even though my grades were good. People were always suggesting different skin lightening products. I always, always felt the disapproval, dismissal towards the color of my skin. People would prefer calling me as Kali as if I don’t have a name. This was back in Odisha. In my 20’s, I moved cities for work and settled in south India, where every 5 out of 10 people are dark skinned. I noticed the immediate shift in the gaze of people. No judgements, no hatred. I loved it and have been here since. Even now when I visit Odisha, I get to hear comments occasionally. I would occasionally respond aptly or educate them. Mostly I ignore them now. I’m happy in my skin and don’t have the patience to engage in any negativity towards it.
