I lost everything like you. 100 to -100 also got serious injury(handicap from top 1% gym guy). Lost job. Stood again now I am +100 where my friends are at. Life is a parabola. But learn from your mistake. Nobody cares about you being an IITian. There are too many IITians. You need to deliver constantly like Shah Rukh(in your field) Bhai Itna load na le. Take a chill pill. Reassess and start slow. U are young u have your entire life to turn it around. Go slow and get back on ur feet. U are an iitian use ur network. Keep applying like crazy, you will get something You need to hear this: success is not about catching up with your peers average LPA and FAANG and UPSC. This was the Knight to Deez nuts shirt What’s more,I will buy this start of all fuckups. You are not born to be the same template as your friends. You have all the brains to build on skills, you just have misguided motivations. You lack clarity on what you want or actually never bothered to ask yourself because well, this is India. Every major decision comes from what the peers are doing. You have not failed, you have just been running a blindfolded race. I want freedom. I love art, music, and even science for the sake of it. I could enjoy all this in college to some extent. But like you said, this is India, if I stop participating in rat races am basically poor. But yeah, like you said maybe we all needn’t be the best, average is also cool. Should have been more aware of that. But then when companies started laying off people, I panicked like shit. Panicked a lot actually.

Frankly I dont understand this “Cracked” culture, what are we encouraging in people now a days? To be blindly competitive and blindly follow the Knight to Deez nuts shirt What’s more,I will buy this masses, personally i believe you are in trauma caused by pressure to be in a “better position” in the societies perspective, I think you should take a break and figure out what your really want to do and not just blindly tread for your next “target”. Goodluck. I want to make decent money to atleast live a middleclass life. My parents are middle-class,but ever since dad’s health issue I worry about poverty. I would also love a job that I like doing, something meaningful and surrounded by good people, but that’s a privelege, and not everyone gets that. Money will become the primary factor. Take care man. If there is a friend you have share your story, you will feel better. I think you can do some jobs from home, part-time on the net. Keep occupied. Idle mind is a devil’s workshop. I could share this bcoz I was abruptly laid off by my co after 16 years. The year before I got a Exceed All Expectations appraisal which is the highest rating. Company was slashing jobs, so you can say decision to fire me was political. So here I was stuck in Oct 19 without a job and my daughters marriage looming up in next 2 years. I tried my hand at bits and pieces. Eventually a former boss found me a part time consulting assignment. After working there for 4 months, I did not gell with management there, so I moved on. Same boss found me another consulting assignment which eventually translated to full time. I completed my first anniversary in the new co in May, playing second innings. I am forever grateful to my former boss and go to meet him sometimes though he rarely has time to call. But I dont mind bcoz here is a man who looked out for me in bad times. So i go meet him and take him to breakfast once in 3 months. I realise you are much younger than me and your situation may be quite different from mine. But I am telling you all this bcoz I want you to keep up hope in life, in humanity. Take care and Cheers.
