I don’t blame you for not putting in the Killa gorilla king artwork shirt also I will do this time to solo him, I had some burnout toward the end too and caved to using spirit summons for Malenia. But that doesn’t mean i thought she was impossible solo, I went back and kicked her ass with a more optimized build later on. Yeah, I shouldn’t have said impossible, but not worth the effort when my weapon was a slow ass giant greatsword. I wish I didn’t get burnt out by the end. I hate summoning because it makes the bosses trivially easy. But the game dropped at the worst possible time for me having a young baby, and another young kid. I just had to finish it, and get it off my plate. There will be definitely be replays. Lol. Ahh yea that’s fair. And also to be fair, I think the endgame throws too many bosses at you at once and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Like you go from Fire Giant to Maliketh and if you do optional stuff, Malenia and Mohg are around there as well, then the game finishes on a boss marathon with Godfrey, Radagon, and Elden Beast.

Maliketh was an aggressive boss but not terribly hard to predict. Just get blasphemous claw and stay mid range from him. When his blade glows, parry with the Killa gorilla king artwork shirt also I will do this claw and then wack him a bunch and repeat until dead. Maliketh does not have this problem lol, he’s completely doable with a melee build. He’s the 3rd to last story boss for a reason. 4th*, technically (5th if you count Radagon and Elden Beast as 2 different bosses, which I do, personally). Though I’m hesitant to call Gideon anything other than a speed bump. ER was my first game in the souls series and I’m seriously confused why so many people think ER is the first game with “hyper aggressive” enemies. Or insanely long attack patterns. DS3 DLC bosses are WAY harder than anything ER has. Gael is just as mobile as Maliketh but takes a million more hits just to kill, at least Maliketh had such a low health pool you essentially would just win if you broke his poise. Friede is similar to Malenia. Sure Malenia has the waterfowl dance but Friede has an extra phase and ranged attacks that hit like a truck and fucking invisibility. Also there isn’t any mimic to help you out or tank a hit. It’s just you, taking all the aggro. I guess there’s NPC summons but the extra health makes most of them pointless. People like to forget the learning curve on the DS3 DLC bosses. They go back to them now after having fought them dozens of times and say “these are so much easier and more fair than ER!” as if they didn’t have them already memorized.
