He is 100% right – he was a minor at the Kevin Hayes American professional ice hockey player for the St. Louis Blues T-Shirt in other words I will buy this time, and the media plastered him everywhere, while the two minors involved in this case are not named (the two adults are but it’s been much more quiet). The KC shooters names have been released but as it’s not contentious no one really give a shit about who they are as individuals… While I don’t necessarily think murder was the right charge for Rittenhouse a teenager carrying a rifle Into a protests should really be illegal. Sure. People should vote lawmakers in that promise to make it illegal. As long as it isn’t illegal people shouldn’t get charged because they did a legal activity. Nor does it give the right for other people to attack him. He has as much right to be there as the people who attacked him. “Shouldnt be there” is outside the question. It doesnt matter. His case is unique. I legally agree with the verdict that he wasn’t guilty, but morally I find his choice to be there in the first place questionable. He was ultimately being a stupid kid; I don’t get why he’s treated as a hero to the right short of “he used a gun on someone.” He’s treated that way on the right, because it’s the most thoroughly documented, clear-cut, textbook example of unprovoked self-defense and restraint. First off, the Kansas City shooters names were released before Kyle tweeted this; so he’s objectively wrong in his tweet.

For Kyle’s situation, family members of Kyle went out of their way to spread his story to the Kevin Hayes American professional ice hockey player for the St. Louis Blues T-Shirt in other words I will buy this media – they’re the reason that everything he did became so widespread. A shooting in a back alley during a protest would not get national attention on its own. Finally, Rittenhouse acted in self defense. It’s clear from the video, and was ruled self defense in court – anyone arguing against the shooting being self defense is an idiot. That does not change that he clearly went to the protest with that rifle with a clear intent to shoot someone. You don’t go to a used car lot and antagonize a group of people destroying property unless you have the full intension to shoot them. He’s a POS not because he acted in self defense, but because everything he did beforehand (and after, dude hung out and took pictures with known white supremacists
