I am presently working through fairly substantial trauma and am in a pretty intense outpatient therapy program. One thing that immediately comes to mind for me is requesting an rx’s reevaluation. There are so many different combinations and types of rx’s to try….don’t settle until you find a good fit. I’ve been in a close to a decade long daze now with various highs and lows but it’s not fun. I have to state though if anything is wrong or amiss I’m happy to chat. Can’t promise I’d fix anything but I’d happily be a listening ear. Been going through it for 3 years, it’s a transformational process that takes time but surrendering and not resisting is the best imo i had a similar stage in my late teens. Then i heard about someone else who was thinking of ending it all – they went off into the wilds and sat for hours thinking of doing it there, then it came to him that he he shouldn’t end it, but should instead do whatever he felt was right for him, and that if he died from that, then fair enough. He’d been trying to please too many people and not living his own life, so then just started making all his decisions to be good for himself. He ended up getting out of the depression and went to university, and ended up writing books etc. So for me i did a similar thing, and now am happy living with a simple part time job, and spending most of my spare time on spiritual practice. i think it helped to let go of any kind of future goals, and start just taking the choices i actually had in front of me, and picking whatever one felt best for me. Also i found my own ‘therapies’ by doing whatever actually felt ‘therapeutic’. For me this ended up being a lot of going to nearby towns for the day and doing a lot of walking. Also a bunch of just laying and letting things process internally, with no pressure to arrive at any particular result.
