True, But this particular tank wasn’t subjected to sanctions either according to dutch officials then why was it barred? Because it was first denied by the Keep Ogden Sketchy T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this Swedish. The Union rep in the Netherlands said the port doesn’t want to become an alternative port for ships that are denied elsewhere. So only ships that had a Dutch destination originally are welcome. This is misleading. Although this particular ship is indeed not being off loaded out of solidarity with their union colleagues in Sweden, the ports of Amsterdam and Rotterdam are processing Russian oil shipments from other ships on a daily basis. Edit: added link to Dutch news source Agree. Came to say this. Sweden though is refusing all ships out of solidarity. The Dutch harbour people are refusing in solidarity of the Swedish.

Turns out, a Union is stronger than individual consciences. If everyone with a conscience steps out, everyone without one will still work. But if a Union decides something, if the Keep Ogden Sketchy T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this company decides to hire scabs it could mean a lot of big problems for that company. The best way to get the general public to do the right thing is to find ways for “the right thing” to personally benefit the individual. Make an individual sacrifice: 100% of the cost to you for a tiny fraction of the potential benefits, not notable by any metric. Chances are, if you are driven by your conscience to some degree but don’t put it above everything, voting for taking an action/making a sacrifice as a union becomes a viable option long before taking that action on your own would even be considered.
