Now im at a company where I can actually make decisions for myself, and I enjoy the Kc Chiefs mahomes grim reaper shirt moreover I will buy this work and hanging with our team. It’s team-based. Firm policy is three per week but our senior management lead hates it so we are all in open revolt. Most team members, not me, have kids and just will not commute, even if forced, at this point. Peoples thinking and confidence have shifted permanently after COVID. Booohooo I make over 300k and don’t want to come into work cause I’m privileged. Even though Apple HQ is a giant theme park full of amenities. Fuk off Apple employees I’ll take your job. As technical/connectivity issues wane, the Kc Chiefs mahomes grim reaper shirt moreover I will buy this inconvenience of bad signals, etc. will preclude any inconvenience of needing to meet over things, but idk There’s value I think to being able to call someone over to your desk, to show them a problem and they can put their own hands on it instead of directing you to do this or that through a screen share or even with them taking remote control of your desktop.. Independent of any company’s policies, more than that I feel like there’s tremendous social value to the involuntary immediate human connection. If we only ever connect with the people who matter to us, and the only contact we have with those not in our immediate circles is limited to strictly necessary encounters, I wonder what that will do to people’s ability to interact and adapt to each other, and even to meet others in the first place. I get it, but c’mon. Three days a week when you make that much money is too demanding? Would they take a salary cut to work from home? Def less expenses in a lot of ways.
