Of course there’s bad neighbourhoods everywhere… you’re never really at risk in an Uber from downtown to the Katt Williams Interview Shirt in contrast I will get this airport, it’s mostly highways. Patagonia safe. The rest is much more like Latam: Watch your back.It takes about 20 min just to get settled enough to let other phenomena arise, if that’s what you’re after. Advanced or (un)lucky meditators can get to fireworks quickly. But keep in mind, phenomena include direct and sometimes destabilizing insights. So, cautiously and gradually increase your sitting time. Work on concentration states. Pick something like your breath or a simple & safe image and bring your attention to it, over and over, until your concentration is strong and you can merge into the object. This is not like going to the gym and forcing weights around. It’s a releasing of self/object boundaries. Anyway, build a stable foundation before transcending anything. You “should” be ok with whatever arises. However transcendent feeling, you are always there sitting in the moment where everything is anyway, including needing to get off the seat and take a shit before washing the dishes.

That is incorrect. It is individual and the Katt Williams Interview Shirt in contrast I will get this more closer you get to the goal the easier and faster it gets. If you are half way there, what persists in you continues to provide you with the effects of a true meditation. Then you didn’t read my next sentence, or forgot to consider that OP wasn’t getting anywhere after 3 years (as they see it), or just wanted to pick bone. Lots of questionable moves for someone who is claiming to know what “there” and “true meditation” are. Once again, use the focus you’ve accumulated through your practice and read the second sentence of the paragraph. There is something to expect. Meditation has a single goal and the process is what you observe. This process you can expect to play out. If it does not do it, you fail in your meditational efforts and need to change it. Not everything that counts as meditation is true meditation and many things that are not regarded as meditation are true meditations.
