I just graduated with a bachelors in Comp Sci and I have been really struggling to even get an email back from ANY company for getting a job. I don’t understand why because I have decent experience on my resume. My previous experiences include: Software engineer intern at Amazon, Teaching Assistant, and a temporary contract job where i did full stack application development. I also have two projects listed and as many buzz words related to the Kansas City Chiefs NFL Football Mickey Disney Never Lose Hope shirt and by the same token and topics I know. I have sent hundreds of application since graduating and NOTHING. I have gotten rejected by EVERY SINGLE COMPANY that I have applied to. Why??? Everyone I tell this to is shocked because of my experience and I truly don’t understand why. If anyone can give me reasons or better ways to find just any kind of job where I can build experience and won’t take a huge money loss I would greatly appreciate it.I think this is what people don’t really understand. Jobs are more competitive than nearly any time before, even at the senior level. More layoffs are being announced nearly every week, which means even more competition looking for new jobs.

I rapid promoted to senior in 3 years and am denied for even basic roles because there’s 500+ applicants within hours of the Kansas City Chiefs NFL Football Mickey Disney Never Lose Hope shirt and by the same token and job posting. When I got a LinkedIn premium account recently it shows roughly 91% of applicants hold a bs and 40%+ hold a ms or phd. Yup, so people in your shoes start looking for “lower” level jobs which means people with their masters have more competition, forcing them to look at the most basic entry level job that a bachelors would normally get you and then people with their bachelors basically got nothing or are competing with people that have their masters or years of experience. Which leads to lots of posts in this sub from people who have applied to hundreds of places without any response from any of them.
