Number 1, and the key, is that it shakes things up from being a handsome young white American guy, even if the female accent is still American it’s usually preferable to the male counterpart Somewhat tying in with number 1, it’s nice to shake up the power dynamic, I grew up during the whole period of female characters being a “novelty” for lack of a better word (am happy to be corrected) I also mostly just enjoy playing dress up with pretty outfits and cute hairstyles, female fashion very much has it better

Most games females characters are usually smaller in size. Which could lead to smaller hit boxes. Or faster in running speed or attacking. I love trans people but it’s extremely problematic to act like everyone who’s gender nonconforming for even a second is automatically “egg” or trans.
