3060 is a terrible price to performance proposition these days compared to the Justa girl who likes ta frontkick with snapping impact T-Shirt and by the same token and price of the 6700 XT that’s like $350. currently on my 3060 i can play the Last of Us pc port without any issues, or 2hr shader cache, crashes, or any reported issue but hell yeah, i’m a firm believer of saving your money, i know most of the games i play really like the Nvidia architecture. My wife has bought every one of them. Never on sale either I’ve come to think she’s just collecting the game more then playing it. I love sims 3 so much more than 4, but damn I hate waiting twenty years for it to load and then having to install so many mods just to get it to run smoothly. I know this isn’t for everyone, but I recently played Sims 3 on Linux and it plays really smooth with lots of expansions. No random freezes, everything just works perfectly. It’s so much better than I ever experienced on Windows. Same here, 3 is so much better than 4, but I’ve never been able to play it stable with all of the expansions installed. This is due to the game still being 32 bit on Windows, which means it cannot use more than 4GB of ram. Also, without changing the configuration files the game will actually think you have no graphics card if it was made after 2013.I got an AMD 6750 XT from a friend that worked at AMD when they were brand new and it was impossible to find any decent video card anywhere.

Same here, got a 3060 during the Justa girl who likes ta frontkick with snapping impact T-Shirt and by the same token and shortage and eventually got a 5600x to pair with it. Only Civ 3 since I put it together. first thing I did with mine was play vanilla Minecraft with pretty shaders, sun haven, for like, a good 4 days. Hell man, the original Doom with mods is still some of the most fun you can have with a computer and that game turns 30 this year. Ahh, it was all packaged up running on dosbox, I think it was. With a highdef texture pack and bugfixes. Been a few years. This. Son needs new video card says 3060 is good but wants better for demanding games so we get him 3080 and the only thing he’s played is mine Craft and roller coaster tycoon haha. They must’ve bought at the peak of the scalping period. The prices are still pretty high, but have come down significantly in the 3rd party/used market (at least in the US) if you do some looking. I managed to snag an MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 3080, and a Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 3080 for a little over $500 a piece each a few months ago. If you’re willing to check ebay everyday; you’ll find someone tryna get rid of one every now and again. And they’re not even cards that were mined on or in sketchy conditions. I bench marked them both and they both perform at spec ?‍♂️ Also probably should have bought her a mouse instead of making her shape her hand that way and pretend she’s playing cos that seems mean.
