But I’m not sure if those are good gifts or not. Given that I saw many posts where people complain about having a ton of such stuff, I want to make sure that my present is thoughtful and useful for both the baby and the parents and that it won’t get thrown away. GIFT CARDS! They are awesome, the person gets to chose what she buys, and she doesn’t receive like 20 blankets haha. And congrats yourself on your pregnancy 🙂 I got a ton of baby clothes up to 6 months and lacked anything 6-9 and nothing 9-12. Babies grow so quick so if you get her clothes, get her 6-9 or higher! Not 6 months cause that’s the same as 3-6 basically. Zip up pajamas. You can never have enough zip up pajamas. I got a ton of blankets and stuffed animals and didn’t find them useful because baby doesn’t care until almost a year later and you can’t even safely put those things in baby’s crib or bassinet.

We asked people to pick out their favorite children’s books when they were little and write a note to our son. We didn’t care if it was new or used, just something that had meaning to them. ? I would just do 1-2 outfit packs in 6 mo+ size and a cute muslin swaddle/pack of muslin swaddles (aka burp cloths). Make sure you think about what the season/weather will be during that specific age/size of the baby for the clothes your getting. I got a million cute 0-3 legless short sleeve onesies and i had my baby (who immediately went into 0-3) during the wintertime so she barely wore any of that. One of my fave things that I have gotten is all the different patterned muslin swaddles. Its fun for me to switch them out and have different patterns to look at in the car, diaper bag, under her head on the changing table, etc. Brings some joy to my days. No blankets and no tiny loveys with the animal head. I got so many blanketsand lovies I don’t know what to do with them. Get something for mom; something you would want. My favorite baby gift and the most helpful was a small white noise machine. We still use it and baby is 2. (Yogasleep Rohm is the one we have) and give it with a gift receipt so she can exchange it if she receives duplicate gifts.
