Grand central station in nyc, not sure if they still have this, but they left a dark spot after cleaning the Just A Girl Who Loves Manatee Flower shirt in other words I will buy this ceiling for the first time in…ever? They didn’t know what the grime they were cleaning was..turns out, after lab testing, it was mostly decades of tobacco smoke. The spot they left is like an Easter egg I guess to show how truly disgusting it was That box is still there to show how dirty the ceiling was before they cleaned it. I love to point it out to people who are visiting from out of town. My first job at Albertsons (grocery store) you could smoke in the break room. One of the ceiling tiles needed replacing, so there was one bright white tile among all the dark yellow ones. My parents bought their house in 1994 from a family of smokers. It took years to get the smell out. Months of rubbing the knotty pine paneling with cleaners – trash bag after trash bag of rags turned dark yellow. All new drywall in the main bath to remove the brown circle above the toilet – there was a magazine rack, phone, and ashtray built in the wall next to the John. It was gross but hey, it was 50 grand.

I use to help my mom once a year wash the Just A Girl Who Loves Manatee Flower shirt in other words I will buy this kitchen walls and ceiling. The kitchen is her perch. Yeah, great times. 20-25foot phone cord going from the kitchen to the bathroom because they can’t stop talking. Wondered what that was never seen one before I grew up in the 80’s. I was 17 years old in 1985 we had a cordless phone. It was my parent’s phone I had the old wall phone in my room long cord the buttons lit up in the dark on the handset. Talk to my GF for hours after 9pm no one was using the phone so I could call her we talk really low so no one could hear us. Her sister would try to pick the extension up and listen in. Cordless was nice to use outside by the pool I grew up in Southern California lot of pools in backyards. My grandpa had to have one. Cost a couple hundred bucks, I remember my grandma being pissed about it. He claimed he needed to be able to take calls while gardening.
