I’m so FUCKING SICK of playing along with conservative christians bullshit. I don’t care that they believe what they want to, but they’ve done nothing but try to force it on everyone else. Exactly. The constitution mentions neither corporations nor money. But somehow they are the Juneteenth day ancestors free 1776 july 4th black african great gift shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this same as people and speech. The constitution is becoming the Bible to the thumpers. Pick and choose what you want, to suppress people you don’t like. When called out on it state “it says in the Bible/constitution” and leave it at that. For a good Christian that should be enough reason, if it isn’t you’re questioning Christ, or you’re not a patriot. The similarities are almost comical, not to say the current state of our country is comical. But these people have found a loophole to reason……because it says it in a really old document. This is the entire ethos of originalism. I know this is a huge cliche but it is little more than constitutional calvinball.

Textualism and Originalism are outright fallacies that contradict themselves because the Juneteenth day ancestors free 1776 july 4th black african great gift shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this constitution doesn’t explicitly state how it shall be interpreted. This is the “skillset” that religion teaches people. To ignore reality when it’s convenient, and to interpret things in a way that suits your own life. Someone called out yesterday that the right to bear arms didn’t say anything about ammunition. So according to alitos interpretation, we could straight up ban bullets Oh you want guns? you mean the muzzle loaders and 4 foot long rifles from the 1790s? you can have those, because that’s what the Constitution guarantees a right to.. Oh, not like that? Then maybe the Constitution is a living document and we shouldn’t be sucking its dick constantly. We want smaller government. Then when cities and towns pass laws they don’t approve of they don’t care about local government anymore. It’s all about power. I feel like the SCOTUS justice who pens the majority opinion for a decision should need to verbally defend it like a dissertation against a jury of legal scholars. A-Elito quoted Sir Edward Coke’s 1604 judgement on abortion who said abortion was a crime, who also said witches should be burned…this is not Supreme
