I got kicked out at 18 and was told from childhood to count my days because once they legally didn’t have to take care of me they were done with me. Haven’t spoken to them in years Americans have made rugged individualism into a cult. Many believe that if you can’t “hack it on your own” you don’t deserve to live. It’s just rebranded Social Darwinism and it makes me sick. Some of us kicked ourselves out at 18 because our home life was awful. And then after a few years of partying went to college. What a weird and inaccurate assumption. It’s like being an Americanophobe is openly accepted on Reddit. Criticize a Muslim country for stoning women for reading and you’re an asshole. But paint america in the Jonathan Isaac an American professional basketball player for the Orlando Magic T-Shirt in addition I really love this worst light ever, upvote city.

Most people don’t but the Jonathan Isaac an American professional basketball player for the Orlando Magic T-Shirt in addition I really love this one I know who did: kid ended up doing very well for himself and hates his parents lol Edit: to contrast, I know A LOT who didn’t and their kids jump from job to job spending money on frivlous things and have no intrinsic or external motivation to change. And they still hate their parents lol I suppose some parents want their kids to take life seriously so they kick them out to teach them responsibility. They can always take them back if they fail and they’ll hopefully have a new-found sense of humility and gratitude. I don’t know anyone who was kicked out. My parents had a rule, at 18 you better be in school or working. I’d you’re working, you better be saving money and not blowing it on shit. Once you got out of school, you got a job and saved money. If you weren’t saving to their satisfaction, you had to start paying rent, same for the ones who chose to work and not go to school. If you didn’t want to pay rent, you were free to leave.
