It’s called Langar. i mean, i know its a bit expensive, but multivitamins may be a good thing to ask for from whatever resources you have available, so those low nutrition days are a bit more nutritious and you can at least get vitamins and minerals in you and calories. You just unlocked a memory for me. I went to a food bank back home in new orleans many many years ago and they gave us a massive frozen bag of crawfish etoufee. They also gave us tons of rice. I ate that shit for almost every meal for the next 2 weeks but holy shit it was so good. The cunt faces that worked there did their best to steal the food from the residents, the the residents would skim their share off the that. By the time the soup kitchen for the public got their meal there wasnt much left.

Then the residents had to clean the kitchen and do the dishes. Staff were there basically to keep the residents in line, but even then they promoted residents like me to stay up all night and watch the other residents and do security rounds inside and outside the building. Trick was to see it coming, let them swing then once that was established you could beat the shit out of them, call the cops, and kick them out. The cops let us handle our own mostly. They didn’t want to deal with it. So we Only called the pigs when we thought some guy might be packing. If it turned out they were violent and had a warrant we let the cops handle it usually in the middle of the night when they were asleep.
