I think if you worked in a field that regularly dealt with sexual violence and IPV like I did, you’d be shocked. While a majority of my IPV victims were men, there wasn’t a single service available for male victims. My first introduction to this was when I asked our DV shelter about getting help to this one guy. If you are drunk and kill someone, you are responsible. If you get drunk and have sex, you are responsible.
