I had a douche bag of an accountant come in because he had gotten a refund and told the clerk to put it back on his card. I always told the cashiers to tell customers to get the cash back because it could take a couple of billing cycles before the credit appeared on their statement. But this guy insisted on it going back to his card and it didn’t appear immediately so he wanted to complain to me. When I explained to him that it could take several billing cycles to appear but if he called his bank and asked for the credits department they might go ahead and put the credit on his account. He lost his shit. “I have a degree! I want my money now!”

My 3rd grade teacher from over two decades ago now works as a OGP associate at my store. She was a very good teacher though one of my favorites. It’s like that when I deal with any of my dad side of the family. Most them won’t ever shop at Walmart, then kinda laugh under their breath that i work at Walmart. Most of them usually work as lawyers, or office jobs, or run they run gas drilling company. Always says I will only shop at target or trader Joe’s. Unfortunately, it’s not just Walmart, I worked for a company that was high in MIT graduates. Some of the attitudes were laughable. Think, “I designed it, therefore, it works, ” I watched more state University engineers make fools of them for the poor designs they created. Had a good friend of mine’s Aunt have that attitude when I was the Department Manager of Lawn and Garden 4-5 years ago. She told me her niece works at a Hotel/Casino near me, and they are hiring at $9 an hour, and she didn’t believe me when I said no thanks, I make quite a bit more than that here. I think people still think Walmart is paying people $7.25, even tho they should definitely pay more than they currently do. I was a training coordinator and had been at Walmart in a variety of positions for over 20 years. When they eliminated my job I was making well over $20 an hour. One of the assistant managers told me I should apply to be an assistant manager. When I told him how much I made plus over time that I got on the regular and that I didn’t want to take a pay cut, he could not believe me. People think everyone at Walmart is making minimum wage and on government assistance. You can make pretty good money at Walmart.
