Some day there will be a lot of women dealing with the biological clock that will be so depressed because they had their tubes tied in their 20s because they followed an internet fad. I’ll put it this way…people spend their entire lives trying to find the meaning of life. The meaning of life is to have children. You can take that as you will but you may just live your entire life watching people find it while you struggle to find meaning when its all over with. All kinds of strangers here will tell you to “you do you” “you don’t have to have kids”… but none of these people will be around you when you’re 70+ alone, regretting your real purpose. Birth rates are at an all-time low, comparitively, we as humans live in the kushiest and more comfortable periods of humanity. So the psyop argument that the world is too stark to have children is a farce. However, me expressing this point isn’t to convince you to have kids, but this whole I won’t have kids because the situation of the world is disingenuous.

People want to have kids because they want to, and they have plenty of reasons to do so. But, you are not them, so, their reasons don’t apply to you. I still have plan to get kids, although I am rather old now and gay. Why I want it? Because I want to see where it leads to. It can be painful or it can be beautiful. I want to experience that kind of lifestyle because I have already experienced childfree lifestyle. I am more of a, don’t knock it until you try it, kind of guy. You can always change your mind one day and have a kid if things change and if not, no kids. Easy. Having kids on the other hand… it’s harder to change your mind about down the line.
