The goal with this approach isn’t that everyone on this earth must love Brussels sprouts, but that everyone has a functional diet. Aka a diet where they get all their major nutrients from the Jets Shop The Grinch New York Jets Stomp On NFL Teams Christmas Shirt Apart from…,I will love this food they eat, that they don’t learn to habitually overeat or that they are so anxious around food or eat so few things that they can’t eat at a friend’s house and not find so many elements in that plate of food that it can allow them to eat enough to sustain themselves to the next meal. It is frustrating to toss out Learning-food for weeks, but I see progress. My son wouldn’t touch his cucumber. Then he started to lift it into the “don’t want-bowl” himself. Then he discovered he could stick his finger through the seeds and he had a tonne of fun with that. Then he started to lick the cucumber. Then he would chew it but spit it out. We’re at a stage where he consistently chews his cucumber and about 50/50 whether he swallows or spits it out. He’ll get there with the cucumber. He just needs more time.

This is the Jets Shop The Grinch New York Jets Stomp On NFL Teams Christmas Shirt Apart from…,I will love this way. And don’t get discouraged when he’s 4 or 5 and suddenly he’s the pickiest eater ever.. it’s a phase. In my experience it lasts a year or so then slowly goes back to how he was before. Our oldest was like that… big fun going to the doctor where he scolds you for not “feeding your child properly”. He ate about 6 things until he was 4 years old. Thank you for confirming my childhood abuse. My parents think that we were a normal family. Yet any unfinished food my dad found in the trash my dad would make us pick it out and eat it. So I learned to feed the slop to the dog (he wouldn’t even eat it at times) or chew it and hide it in my clothes or my hand and preferred to go to bed hungry after sitting at the table for hours. That’s absolutely disgusting. My wife’s father (and step mother the enabler) went with full physical violence with their kids if they didn’t eat everything. My wife had an esophagus stricture that made it incredibly difficult to eat (still has but to a lesser degree because living with me away from him is basically zero stress plus I give her the time she needs to eat instead of being an asshole). Basically imaging being choked with a belt while trying to swallow food but it’s always like that, having to eat slowly and with small bites or she’d throw it up. They thought she was lying about it being hard to swallow food so her father would get up and smash their faces in the food and rub it around in the plate. You don’t even do that to a dog. After she was finally diagnosed around 10 or so, instead of having patience and working around what is clearly a disability, they had a feeding tube put in. Literally if her parents had stopped assaulting her, the stricture would have relaxed. She never told me about it for years until recently when we had a blowout about not cooking at home and her always wanting takeout because she would never agree on anything to eat and wouldn’t cook for herself when I was at work. Thankful to the therapist for the help and meds to help with the PTSD. Now I understand that she has PTSD of eating inside a house. Drive through was never a problem.
