I’ve used these recipe boxes, and they are very simple to follow. If he wanted to he could have tried talking to you about this in advance and gone out to get you breakfast if it all went wrong. If he wanted to he would have said, hey I’m not the best cook but I love you so I’m going to do everything I can to make the day special in other ways that are meaningful to you.

Trust me when I say this, cuz I just about ended up with my house on fire due to making an ex cook. He fell asleep with a pan on the stove, waiting for it to heat up….. Came home to my house filled with smoke and my best pan ruined. He barely worked and didn’t clean or do the bills. I will say this: asking this man for breakfast in bed may have been setting him up for failure lol. Even if he wasn’t a complete doorknob, I’ll give him that poaching an egg and cooking bacon was probably a bit of a leap, even if you did do all the prep work. You had to have known this would be a disaster lmao. On top of your saintly patience I feel like you have far too much faith in people.
