I went to a sports medicine doctor because I had a strained soleus muscle. I told him I was training for a marathon. He told me “you shouldn’t run, running is hard on your body. When it was all done, and we were wrapping up, he looked over at me and and told me that for my age height and weight, I should be 165lbs. I’m 6’2” and I’m built large from doing farm work all my life.

I did gain weight at my job, but when I lost it, I got down to 200lbs and I could tuck my shirt in tight with no rolls. I ended up in the emergency room. The male nurse said he was gonna save me a needle stick and use a double ended needle to run an IV and draw blood at the same time. Sounds great, but he never put anything on it. So he sticks me and it starts squirting blood all over his scrubs. If I wasn’t in so much pain I’d have given him hell about it.
