We need term limits in all of politics at this point. It’s clear that incumbents will stay in office until they’re forced out either by death or illness. Politics, especially lately, has become theater designed to gaslight the Japanese lycoris recoil shirt in other words I will buy this public for the purposes of fundraising. I feel like supreme court justices should be appointed for 18 an 18 year term, with a limit of 1 term, with a new justice appointed during the 1st and 3rd term of every presidential term. Simple and straightforward, should cut down a little on the politicization of the supreme court, since everyone knows when a justice will be appointed, and who will appoint them. The supreme court would be more reflective of the current will of the people, since it’s reflecting the last 4.5 presidential terms equally, not someone getting lucky and putting in 3 justices in a single term or unlucky with no justices during a term, and no one staying on for 30 years.

Put in a check on people like McConnell, that if there’s no hearing on a justice, they get automatically confirmed after 90 or something. Some other check for if they have hearings for multiple candidates but keep voting no, perhaps something based on if they have experience as a federal judge. Make it so that supreme court nominations are routine, and unless there’s some significant new information or they have a history of making bad rulings, or having their rulings over turned due to bad applications of precedent or law (and not because the Japanese lycoris recoil shirt in other words I will buy this supreme court overturned precedent or had to clarify it), if you were qualified to be a federal judge you’re presumably still qualified, and more so now, to be a supreme court justice, so that ideally most of the time you skip most of the hearing besides the vote.
