She was afraid she would get her license pulled. Then you have her husband trying to act intimidating, because I bet he’s an enabler to her behavior, if not totally supportive of it. Or, maybe he really is just so confused he can’t understand anything that’s happening anymore, so he thinks this kid that brought a sheriff’s deputy with him is somehow bad? General “I’m an old lady!” excuse, which kinda runs in all of them. And it probably usually works, given how bad she’s sticking to it. “I thought he hit me!” to try and turn it into he-said she-said. Except she didn’t think he’d have video, I guess?
