People just open trade without saying anything and give me potions and water. When a piece of gear drops with Spirit on it, other people will argue on my behalf that that’s priest gear and no one else should roll on it. This is such a strange comment to me. In WoW, of all places, it has never been my experience that people assume female characters are played by women. Exactly the James Arizona Can’t Stop Conner T-Shirt and by the same token and opposite, in fact. I like underdog stories, and I like unsuspecting heroes. I think because of that, and how male-dominant the hero archetype is, I usually default to female at character select, but it does depend on the game. As a female gamer, I also pick women for this exact reason. I want to make a badass who saves the world. Men have been saving the world in video games and movies for years.. I want it to be our turn, lol. It’s one of the reasons I love Horizon Zero Dawn so much, besides it being an all around spectacular game.

The only game that I play where you model your character and pick their clothes and style is Splatoon. For no reason that I thought about consciously I modeled my character after my wife whose style I really like. I just wanted my character to look cute. It’s different for one. For some men, I’m sure it’s so they can stare at a realistic unreal engine ass while they play. For me, it’s a few things, but chiefly that women tend to be designed better in modern games for whatever reason. Or at least to me, they do. 4: Dudes prolly picked the James Arizona Can’t Stop Conner T-Shirt and by the same token and female as a joke but got way to far in and couldnt change to a male without completely starting over. 6: Female skins tend to have slimmer player models, slimmer player model = smaller hitbox, smaller hitbox = harder target to hit Number 4 is cracking me up I know WAY too many dude friends who pulled that shit, especially during teenage years! It was weirdly wholesome most of the time lol I never feel like playing as a woman. I just happen to play games where the main character is one. horizon zero dawn and alien isolation are phenomenal games and the sex of the protagonist is absolutely utterly irrelevant. Honestly? I would rather stare at an attractive female character while playing than a male character. They are more fun to look at.
