Face: Might be worth going to Sephora or Credo to get a foundation re-match, it looks like your foundation might be too dark and warm. I love the big wings and they’re pretty on you but you could try slightly elevating the wings to lift your face and eyes some. Honestly, you look beautiful so I would suggest trying some minor adjustments to see how you like them, but they’re not necessary if you don’t feel like it. 🙂 I would say lighten up the eye makeup a bit. The thickness combined with the direction of the lines pulls your eyes down. I think a more thin, upturned cat eye, some mascara, and no bottom liner would make you look more youthful (I’m not saying you don’t look youthful already). I feel like blush under the eyes and on the nose would be a really good look for you. I also do thicker wings due to my eyes being uneven. It makes it way less noticeable for me. I think maybe eyeliner pointing a little higher would give a nice shape.

For you under eye brighter: go in with a peach concealer first (for correction) then add a yellow tone brightening concealer on top. Set with translucent. You’re so pretty. I think you should leave your lower lid without eyeliner and you’ll be good to go. Your eye shape is so pretty that I don’t think you need the heavy liner. I can see a swoop of iridescent shadow across the lid and mascara. Or, a lighter wing or cat eye with only mascara on the bottom. If you go big on the eyes, keep the lip minimal, and if the lip is bold, keep the eye more minimal. Definitely get a foundation and highlighter consultation. I can see you in youthful lip glosses like glossier. It’s definitely the eyeliner girly and lack of freshness to the face. If you don’t want to get rid of the winged liner, just do the top and no bottom liner. More blush on the apples of your cheeks (center) and add a nice highlight! Think liquid highlight and not crazy blinding 2016 highlight. I would also thin out your top liner and add some wispy lashes so they’re the focus point and not the thick liner. I think what’s making your makeup look quite dated is ur eyebrow shape in conjunction with your eyeliner. As other people have mentioned your eyeliner shape droops downwards in a way that’s not very flattering for your eye shape, and the tail of your eyebrow sort of follows in that direction and adds to the illusion of your upper face being quite droopy. I would say maybe try out a thinner eyebrow shape with a higher tail, a pencil liner following the natural eyeline and corner of your eye, a fresh blush shade something bright rather than something more muted or orange but a cooler lip and something a little more nude and neutral. That foundation is doing you no favors. It makes your skin look patchy and dry. It’s also a little too dark and orange. Imo people end up looking disjointed when trends are sought after without objectively considering what canvas they’re working with and what vibe they do naturally want to give off. I’m all for finding and doing what naturally works w/ your face. The parts of the face where shadows naturally fall and which parts reflect light, color season/undertones to determine what products to use. What is the most harmonious… and THEN adding a sprinkle of whatever is in at the moment that works with the above IF you want to keep it current. Now, technique wise, if you’re feeling like your look is a bit dated and wanting to tweak, here’s what I recommend: The “less is more but with an edge” look is what’s in right now. Sheerer coverage and “your skin but better” is in. If you want to still go for full coverage, I’d use as little as necessary, and maybe consider under painting your blush. I’d approach skin makeup application with the goal of only setting where necessary(the all matte was so very in during 2016). To further step away from the 2016 approach to makeup, I would look into finding your color season. Use lip products that are closer to your natural lip shade, using a blush that gives you a “flushed” healthy look similar to your natural coloring, using a lip liner, and applying a little gloss/balm on the lips if you have a lipstick on underneath(instead of products that give the effect of an opaque matte liquid lipstick, again 2016). Now to the liner… it seems like this is an unpopular opinion, but I like it!! I think the shape goes w/ the natural curvature of your eyes. What I CAN suggest: reign in how far the smudging goes on the lower lash line, and curl and use mascara on the lashes, esp the outer corners on the lower lashline. I actually wouldn’t blank rec falsies unless you’re going to balance it out w/ something else. Lots of ppl actually look better when using colors other than black(not sure if this would be the case for you— I’m a Deep Winter so as pure black as possible happens to be one of the colors that is supposed to be great for me— this is why finding your color season helps) but their kits don’t reflect that. I think the combo of these tweaks will give a first impression where you/your entire face are what you first see because what makes you unique is what’s shining through, rather than the eye darting to individual features one at a time and not knowing where to rest. I think they’re being a bit overpowered in the pic(the look during 2016) and might be what’s making it a bit jarring to some people, which again was so very much the goal in 2016 LOL. The trend right now is clean, more natural beauty makeup, you’ve got a ton of natural beauty and you’re burying it under all that makeup. Drop the full coverage foundation for a skin tint or light coverage – I hear you on the hyperpigmentation, but you can work with a concealer and lighter coverage and I think you’ll be really surprised how you can get the same coverage with less – add a good blush, and scale way back on the liner. You can still do a wing, but make the liner way thinner. I’d try a lighter pink on the lip as well You are very pretty, but your eyeliner screams 1990s chola. It weighs your eyes down and you have amazing eyes – size and shape. I love this page because so many people give amazing tips on what you can do to make them stand out.
You definitely look 24. The liner just isn’t right for your face. Maybe more upturned liner or leaving it off altogether or going thinner. The liner on your eyes is so heavy! And I don’t mean that there’s too much of it, necessarily, but that it seems heavy because it drags your eyes down. It makes you look exhausted, and you are so pretty! Play around with your eye makeup. Even try some styles that you KNOW you hate. You might be surprised! Maybe try a Smokey eye with your eyeliner style you do and then maybe try lashes or a more voluminous mascara I love Juvias Place concealer and foundation, super full coverage and super affordable. For me the color scheme is a bit off, i feel like a deep dark red with a straight out liner instead of downward, darker brows and try to emphasize your lips bow more. i like to add beauty marks with a dark freckle pen to add some more ‘movement’ in my look, feel like it makes my face less bare looking. i think cool/neutral toned makeup would look great on you tho!!

Maybe an Asian-brand mascara since my eyelashes are heavy or just some natural lashes/glue. I’ll try some new eyeliner styles. I personally love my sad eyes with dramatic liner, I def skew towards grungy/e-girl looks, but I’m open to trying new stuff! I’ve been doing this for so long, I associate it with myself, so hearing all the heavyhanded comments was like whew. I’m thankful people were not too mean because I am pretending you are all coming up to me and saying this to my face lol That eyeliner is doing you dirty. The wings are super flat and that’s making your eyes look weird. Try making thinner wings, and make them a bit more upwards, like as if they were trying to meet the tip of your eyebrows. Start from there and tweak as you see fit 🙂
The foundation you are using looks too warm and a bit too dark. I’d get a rematch. I think your foundation is giving your skin a dusty cast. Your tone is rich and warm I’d love to see you in a glowy foundation.
