Not a dad but I had a girl explain a pap smear to me (not sure if I spelled it correctly). Wow I’m glad I’m a guy. I was shocked to learn how much our culture (United States) tries to push girls into “girly” things – the It’s time to Trump circle back! shirt and I love this color pink, dolls, princesses, etc. It angers me when people – usually older generations – try to tell my daughters that they’re not supposed to like certain things, like sports, ninjas, constructions vehicles, etc, bc those things are for boys. Fuck off boomers. One night when my girls were having a bunch of friends over for a slumber party, and they all cornered me with a barrage of sexual questions. The #1 question of the night being – why does size matter? With my own kids I’m always brutally honest, but for a split second I was stumped with what to do with other people’s children present. But down the rabbit hole we went, size and all. The next day I contacted each of the kid’s parents to let them know about the conversation so there wouldn’t be any surprises, and to my relief and delight all parties were appreciative! My daughter loves the princess -centric, sparkly pink aesthetic, and I really have no idea where she got it. Her mom is very much a progressive, non-traditional lady, but the kid seemed to go out of her way to embrace the stereotype. It’s 100% not society forcing her into a gender role, or to value beauty above all else. Same thing happened to my niece at first.

It’s time to Trump circle back! shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

the It’s time to Trump circle back! shirt and I love this unfair assumptions and biases that women have to deal with. it becomes evident when you are the buffer between them and other adults. my girls are still young but they love sports. one’s favorite subject is math/science. ones favorite color is Blue. it’s amazing the crap that happens where people just assume the girl wants something pink or to play with dolls. and then you see the stuff going on right now with roe v wade and other things like having birth control covered by insurance. i just don’t get it. I want them to be anything they want to be, marry who they want and be in control of their health. why would anyone want to take that away from someone? I have 3 daughters. As I am the man/husband it is my job to maintain the house and so forth. After plowing through a swarm of make-up, schampoo, appliances, and other stuff to clear the drain from massive balls of long hair for the third time this week I will gladly help shatter the illusion of girls being neat and not disgusting.
