The fetus is not the It’s St Patricks Day Birthday 21st 50th Saint Paddys Gifts T-Shirt and by the same token and organ here, the fetus is the organ recipient. A fetus is not entitled to the body of the mother any more than I am entitled to your bone marrow. Even if you were the one who caused me to need the donation, you could still say no. Even if you agreed to the donation, you could change your mind and say no or cancel or stop it in process. Even if I would die, you could say no. No circumstances can make anyone entitled to anyone else’s body. That includes a fetus, which is likewise not entitled to anyone else’s body, including the mother’s. A donor-recipient relationship is always subject to termination by the donor. I’m a Cynical bastard, but it seems to me that this is all a fundraising scam for both sides and in the end nothing major will be accomplished by either party regarding this issue.

There are still a vast majority of Republicans who support a womans right to choose. Get over it already. Pew research says it’s about 35% of republicans support abortion. And if the vast majority did support abortion they’d vote like it. They don’t though do they?
