i feel like that on laundry day. $20 in, a waterfall of quarters out. and just like vegas, those quarters disappear real fast (at $5/wash, $2/dry. in quarters, only) They were designed to have the It’s okay don’t like shooting kind of smart people shirt it is in the first place but same characteristics as the Susan B. Anthony dollar coins that predated them. You can get rolls of either at any major bank. You may have to request a number of rolls and come back on another day to pick them up. There were a few change machines and vending machines in my area that gave them out. A local bar with a nerdy bartender would give out a discount two or three times a night to people who paid in “gold doubloons” so more and more people would drink there trying to be one of the lucky discount folk. We used to call them doubloons on the way to school, got a million of those bastards. Find them randomly in bags to this day.

Used to get them as change when I took the It’s okay don’t like shooting kind of smart people shirt it is in the first place but train to work. So many chashiers thought they were awesome when I bought stuff with them. Atlanta still does it with Marta lol,honestly I hate it then again I usually am not going around with a change purse I worked at a carwash for a time that gave these as change and the number of people who would walk up shaking a handful of coins at me demanding “real money” instead of tokens was far, far too many. The fucking toll booths in Indiana used to give them as change. Nothing like scrambling for 13 bucks in gold dollars as a line of cars builds up behind you. Same but when I visited my sister in federal prison when I was like 14-16 the vending machines would give all gold $1 coins back. All different ones of presidents and this one of Sacajawea. I worked at the IRS in Kansas City until last year and they have vending machines there that both accept and dispense Sacagawea dollars. In fact, I still have one in my wallet. The year is 2006. The city is Los Angeles. My friends and I rode the Red Line from North Hollywood to Hollywood Blvd to go to Jumbo’s Clown Room, which was a a kind of alt strip club. (Nothing very sexy happened there – artsy/weird strip routines with pasties on.) But like at all strip clubs, if you sit at the stage, you are expected to tip. Now here’s an important fact – at the time, LA subway tickets were sold only by machines, and if I recall correctly these machines only took cash. But they gave change!

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
