She used to slap me across the head and prod me all the time. I tried to break up with her and she started stocking me, talked shit about me to others, and when that didn’t work stopped eating. I caved and came back to her and she immediately started hitting me again and tried to isolate me. I lost a lot of friends and it really fucked me up. Police SOP, with any domestic violence call, is to arrest the man. Doesn’t matter if the man was the one who called them; DV = man in cuffs, in almost 100% of cases. I dated a girl for a few years in my early twenties, and she would hit me when she lost her temper. Played it of like it wasn’t a big deal because “you’re a man, I can’t actually hurt you!!”. Took a long time to get over the mind fuck that caused I don’t side with him, and I don’t side with her. I think they both displayed abusive and toxic behaviour in their relationship. It’s a douche and a turd situation.
