One of our industrial sites offered everyone an option – continue taking free meal as before or get your own lunch from home and take extra money as cash (approx 1500 per month). Guess what majority did? Free food is an attraction mostly for bachelors. Most of senior managers bring dabba from home. If these are the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and things mentioned by the OP that anyone desires from their employer, I can refer them for positions at my company. Many of German 🇩🇪 org provide this. I used to work in one where it was free. Even snacks in the evening was provided. My org has catered breakfast, lunch and evening snacks (including freshly squeezed sugarcane juice) and a stocked pantry with biscuits, namkeens etc. as well as tea / coffee machines from CCD/ Nestle, which run from morning till night.
It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt, hoodie, hoodie and long sleeve tee
To your question OP, it really depends from org to org. Most of the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and very large corporates don’t provide meals, or provide them at subsidised rates (as compared to the market) or deduct from salary. So yeah, free meals are actually quite rare. Yes my company provides it 3 times a day. Even if there are festival holidays, they ask us to fill a form if we’re coming to office so they can provide the food. As a doctor ive passed out a few times at work after long hours and my organisation has written off the glucose drips My company provide free meal 4 times a day and this is the only reason why I stay in PG. 5 days worth of food is sorted and I don’t have to pay extra for hiring a cook. Food expense in companies which provide free food are part of our CTC, it is not part of our salary nor deducted from our salary but shown as additional component in our CTC, inflating the CTC further The Base CTC they offer on paper is what you will get – deduction is income tax and employee contribution to the PF. The bonus is a percentage of this base (5-25% depends on the role). They have their own version of ESOP as well. Gratuity, Insurance, employer contribution etc are not added as part of base salary. Breakfast One freshly made item (dosa/idly/paratha etc), bread, jam, butter, omelette, boiled eggs, multiple cereal options, boost, maggy. Lunch Buffet lunch – 2-3 veg curries, 1 non veg item, dry subzi, soup, 3 varieties of rice, 2 varieties of bread, 1 dessert, salad, occasional chaat counters, biryani on Friday, fresh juice (fruit changes every day)
My company didn’t even have a canteen or any restaurants close by. Only option was Swiggy for which it took 15 mins by walk to reach the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and main gate. I work in a German company and they provide lunch and snacks. They want more people coming to office and usually most do lol. I’m a recent graduate starting off in corporate, finding an office that gives you healthy and good tasting food makes my mom happy at least haha I work in one of the biggest retail giant company, we get free breakfast, lunch and dinner. We get catered buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner around of 15-20 types with a live station and even a desserts section, menu varies every day and our pantries are stocked with coffee, tea, non alcoholic beverages, fruits, namkeen, snacks etc.. Best part is it’s FREE Company I worked for did it the best. They gave food allowance every month, you can use it if you eat from the company kitchen. People who bring their own food gets unused allowance with their salary. At the end of the day everything counts in CTC, so this gives you a choice.

Where to buy this It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt
Even my company does provides free food (Buffet) all 3 times without any deduction from our pay. We even have special food on festival days. Only downside is in a month only 3 or 4 days food quality is very good rest of the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and time it’s just ok. On top of that we have pantry inside our working area which is stocked with fruits, biscuits, juices, chips etc. Folks working in night shift get even better snacks. My previous work place provided “free” tea/coffee which you can redeem upto 3 times a day. They even proudly announced it at the Townhall Free lunch n dinner. In previous company we used to have special company sponsored sodexo for internal campus (pbc) Worked at 4 companies, 3 of them provide free food (the one that was a small company). For people that aren’t married nor stay with fam, free food was a good incentive to visit office pre covid
Yes my company does offer free lunch, fruits, soft drinks, juices everyday. Not a single rupee is deducted from Salary fyi. Even on days it’s wfh. Only catch being, lunch has to pre-booked the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and day before. Or you can use someone else’s lunch coupon who booked but wasn’t using it. Meanwhile at the rainforest company, the cafetaria food prices just keep rising but the food allowance remains the same. My company has milk/coffee/tea, cereal, bread, peanut butter/jam etc arranged for breakfast, a nearly 10 course thingy for lunch and dinner. Also fruits and breakfast like options in the evening. It’s pretty sorted. Food is good. They have all kinds of healthy options to choose from. On Wednesdays we have Biryani as one of the items, which is sometimes the best one I’ve ever had. It’s not a part of the CTC. At this point, food is the only motivation to go to office. I can’t imagine working at a place where your food requirements are not taken care of. My friend only has breakfast at office and she has to order lunch from outside every day. Takes a toll on her health 🥲
If lunch is free you can’t get tax benifits on meal coupons so a notional charge for lunch is better, also stops people from wasting food. My company does provide but at a highly subsidised price. It’s like ₹5 for breakfast and ₹8 for lunch. A really good meal btw. Lunch is usually roti/poori, subzi, rice, pulao/ fried rice/ ghee rice, rasam, sambhar, another subzi, fruit salad, papad, pickle, sweet; all for ₹8. I’m not even complaining. I also work for a Jap conglomerate. I work for a Manufacturing company (India Based) as a BA. We have free sumptuous working lunch. Apart from that we have breakfast at subsidized price (Rs 388/- PM). My working hours last at 5.15 PM but incase we are working until 6pm we will get free Tiffin too. The company where I interned and will be joining full time later this It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and year has free lunch and dinner. They also provide breakfast at a subsidised price.
Currently on a trip through France with people that MUST USE A NEW OUTFIT EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. That means a very large suitcase for each one of them, and they plan on buying an extra carry on to accommodate everything they want to buy to take home before we leave. My husband and I have to help them in every staircase, because they are extremely heavy and can’t be handled by a single person. In trains, they don’t fit in absolutely any compartment, so they have to be stacked in the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and middle of the corridors, leaving us trapped in our seats. In airports or stations we become a huge inconvenience for everyone around us, because we occupy a huge space, making hard for everyone to circulate around the platforms. He and I brought our good old carry on bags, use the same sweaters over clean t-shirts every day, and plan on washing our clothes soon and they think we are absolute idiots. They looked at us like we were going insane when we talked about going to the laundromat tomorrow, because you obviously have to be an idiot to do laundry during your vacation.
Yes! “Sorry, it’s been straining my back and I can’t do it anymore”. Let them take turns helping each other and enjoy your little carryon bag! Not even that. Just say no I’m not carrying your stuff, I packed a small bag so that I don’t have to deal with that shit. It usually only takes doing this once, or their precious checked luggage not arriving ever, to make people see the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and light. We kinda stopped traveling with these types since there’s usually more to it than just physical baggage. I’m not here to go on your insta shoot miss Same here. I gained the habit when I did a lot of solo travel and didn’t want to have to rely on the chance that someone would be able to help me. When I flew home or visited other family, I checked a bag to haul gifts and local food goodies back & forth. I lived in DC with no car & took the metro home – if I can’t carry the bag by myself up a broken escalator, it’s a no go.
I only check a bag for international travels. Came in very handy in Japan when I bought my brother a very cool samurai sword that would not have been allowed as a carry-on for the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and return flight. Yes, for international I check in my carry on. I don’t want to lug it around the duty free shops and restaurant area and also I may want to bring things back which don’t comply with airline regulations for cabin luggage. (liquids, sharp things etc). I love to travel light, there are launderettes in most places. Who needs 15 outfits? And if I really need an extra outfit I can buy one at my destination. Tho my decision is more based on the length of stay. I’m good for two days with a carry-on, maybe three if I stretch it. Weather is fairly stable and predictable. Anything longer and I will have to think about the weather forecast getting less accurate as the days go by. But yeah, for Japan I’d definitely need one – as a 5’11” female, if anything were to happen to my clothes, I probably wouldn’t have an easy time replacing them – unless I go to the men’s section, I suppose.
I learned a while back that the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and one who is bothered most by a thing, that’s the one whose problem it is. The person whose problem it is, that’s the person who cares most about fixing it. Let it bother them more than it bothers you. I went on a 6-day vacation with my sister once. When she showed up at the airport, she had a huge bag. She had everything in there including 1) her favorite pillow and 2) a full-size can of spray starch for the clothes she planned on ironing during the week. Don’t even do that just wait for them watching their struggle. If they say something just be like, there’s a reason I like to pack light. Yup. It sounds like they physically can’t carry it alone, but they also clearly like to make frivolous purchases like extra baggage fees, so they can obviously afford the very expensive cost send things home.
This. They don’t realize how stupid it is to carry so much shit because you are helping them. Let them sort it out by themselves all the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and time, they’ll realize pretty quickly how annoying it is. It sounds like you’re incompatible travelers. It’s not a bad thing, just a reality. Some of my best friends at home I would never travel with. Chalk it up to a lesson learned and avoid traveling with them next time. 100%. I have great friends I wouldn’t dream of setting foot on a plane with and friends I’ve traveled with for a decade. Some people pack light and some don’t. I had to read a long way down the comments to find this expression of tolerance! If OP doesn’t want to travel with people with big luggage, they shouldn’t.
We’re about to go on a group trip there, and I sent out a text to everyone saying, “We will not be schlepping our luggage. Here’s the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and deets on the Takkyubin. Use it. Or don’t. But you’ll regret it if you do not, and we’re not going to help you schlep your giant bag on the train.” Japan has luggage forwarding since those bullet trains have no space for large suitcases. It’s also very affordable and the hotel can fill out the forms/ make arrangements. Just to clarify for first-time Japan and/or China travelers though: the overhead luggage racks on bullet trains in both countries are big enough to fit normal carry-on sized luggage. So if you’re carry-on only, you’ll have no problem putting you bag directly above your seat on bullet trains. We went to Japan with one small suitcase each. We bought a new one there to bring home all the souvenirs. That was the plan all along, to be fair. Still, I did break a sweat hauling two suitcases up the stairs at some of the train stations coming back to Tokyo from Kyoto.
I helped my mum with her small suitcase when we were travelling recently because she’d been sick and had no lung capacity, but otherwise I’m right with you. What would they do if OP had a large suitcase, too? Nobody could help them carry their stuff around. So they obviously benefit from others, who plan better. I always carry a checked bag & a carry on, travel weekly and need the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and multiple change of clothes unfortunately for events but i only carry what i can physically carry myself . Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with having a checked bag (I recently checked for the first time in ages because I wanted to be able to run around Paris on a long layover, and it was quite liberating), but you should always be able to handle your own luggage.
That’s interesting because I always worry my bags will get lost on a long layover, or that I’ll be obligated to reclaim them/recheck them between flights (common with some airlines/destinations). I love dumping bags to run around cities though, I use BagBnB/Radical Storage a lot, pay a few dollars to store your stuff in some locker or backroom of a store. It makes such a difference when you arrive at a destination and you get to just…go do things instead of having to go all the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and way to your hotel (at which point inertia means everyone wants to change clothes and unpack and and and and) Yep! Know your limits . I figured out I can manage a very large 32 kg bag ( 4 wheels ) , a medium sized one , a large computer back pack , a smaller duffel bag and a little monster cat in soft carrier . If really need be i can add a second check one in if it’s 4 wheels. It would be great if everybody subscribed to that. I constantly see people who violate the carry rules and if you’re boarding later on the flight, you can’t always find a baggage spot, and then the bastards ask you to check your carry on. Why the hell the airlines don’t enforce their own rules is frustrating.
That is honestly what i used to find most stressful about no status , it was the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and being in group ikd 5 + and the no space or space so far from seat that you need to swim upstream to get off the plane I am one of those who follow the rules so won’t buy a ticket that says 1 bag and bring 2+ but I want to board first and have my bag above me . I will put my personal time under seat and wear my coat so not to use up extra space for others . There are a lot of selfish people on board in all classes My husband and I have to help them in every staircase, because they are extremely heavy and can’t be handled by a single person. You pack it, you carry it. Unless it’s your parents. Let them handle it. Or else no lesson will be learned out of this. I do laundry at practically every trip we take unless it’s business. It takes 90 minutes of your time. I go early, have coffee and get it done.
I love checking bags. It’s so freeing. My friend is carry-on only and she’s all haggard hauling all her worldly possessions through the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and airport, things hanging off the bag, wearing all her “big” stuff, stressing about overhead space, hot, and then every time she needs something, it’s like a long dig. I do it for a quick trip, but otherwise…nah We took a trip last summer where we brought home 2 dozen bottles of wine in our luggage. Saved us hundreds in wine shipping fees. Not possible with just carryon sized bags. It really depends how you travel, we almost always have a rental car, so we’re not really schlepping. The ladies in question sound like they’re packing for a resort trip, while backpacking. Not compatible. My extended family took a month long trip to Europe. We all did carry on only, with the plan to buy a large suitcase as we went to stuff full of everyone’s souvenirs and check on the flight home. We ended up needing to buy two lol.
Yep, it’s great for certain kinds of trips, but if I’m going to be in a city doing sightseeing, going to nice restaurants for dinner, etc, I’m checking a bag and bringing enough clothes to get me through the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and trip. Nothing is right or wrong. I personally like the concept and it helped me. I realized I was carrying around tons of things I don’t need and now that I only carry a backpack, it definitely improved my travelling experience. I’m a woman btw. But at the same time, I don’t think it’s the best approach for everyone, some people just feel better having more stuff. Nothing against that. It only becomes a problem when you need help of other people and literally cannot move your suitcase alone. That’s a problem and the person should downsize.
I know! Just my hair care routine takes up nearly half a carry on. I know it sounds like a bit much but when you have a giant flouff of hair that you want to style and not have in a constant knot on top of your head it takes effort and plenty time for materials. I use a checked bag every trip since I usually travel 7+ days and tend to sweat, even in the It’s not rape because she’s dead shirt and by the same token and winter. Never expected anyone to carry my luggage. I don’t want to waste my time washing clothes either. Btw even if you don’t sweat (or lightly), your clothes will start smelling bad naturally after long continuous wears. You might not think so because youre used to your odors, but I can promise you it will start smelling not fresh. Make sure you hang the clothes so they can refresh a bit every night if you only have one sweater or smth. Yeah, all the people here saying they wear the same clothes clearly haven’t considered sweat. I run so it’s common for me to have several sets of running clothes on top of whatever else I’m wearing during the day because I’m normally drenched when I get back from a run.
