The difference is that they do it because they can (they made their wealth in other areas), not to try to generate money so they can continue to do so (like MrBeast does, which, as stated before, I’m not saying it a bad thing). Africa is huge and in a lot of the countries the governments have so much corruption it slows everything down. The money and logistics are only a small part of the issue. Money from charities given to governments often doesn’t reach the people it’s meant for. There are more than 300 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa without access to clean water. 100 Wells is a drop in the ocean. It’s great that he did this but it needs to be massively upscaled. There are tonnes of organisations doing this but as they said on the video, these type of systems last about 30 years which isn’t long when you have so many people to help. This doesn’t even include the rest of Africa. A lot of money is donated and a lot of help is sent to those places but they don’t make YouTube videos about it to show off. Don’t get me wrong, I applaud Beast for doing what he did but people should understand that he is not the only one helping, he is just making a lot of noise because he is a popular youtuber.

We could drill like 20 wells a day in North America for less than $12000 a few years ago. Imagine what it would cost in Africa? Pennies in comparison.
