I like the It’s A Good Day To Read A Book Retro T-Shirt it is in the first place but bitchy parts like when the S5 cast was at the campfire talking shit. They all love and respect each other so they can be bitches but they can easily turn that off and forget about it. I prefer their creative/soft/buddy-buddy moments, but I have to admit, I enjoy the shouting and lashing out from vulnerability sometimes too. My only issue is when production actually intervenes in order to cause extra drama. Like when they intentionally left the vote out in Titans where it showed someone had voted for Koco? To go home that week. I want some messy!! Some of these reality shows are so manicured, they just get fake, which I find is toxic too I think Drac was saying on the podcast that she loves when people are just upfront with their cuntiness, and I agree I think it depends on the drama. I love when they argue and throw shade but sometimes it’s just uncomfortable. I just watched S4 E4 and it wasn’t fun drama to watch. It was uncomfortable to see Sigourney get pummeled with misogynistic criticisms. I feel like Drama and Drag go hand in hand, I love seeing them be shady and witty, because at the end of the day they can still be professional when they need to be. I like the real, authentic, unsanitized glimpses we get from the drag artists. I hate comparing Drag Race to Dragula, but the contestants on Drag Race are too scared to be authentic anymore besides maybe one or two queens per season, it’s like watching everyone try to be miss congeniality and it just doesn’t seem genuine. I love the art and the looks, don’t get me wrong, but I do love the shade and I feel like it’s a good outlet for them to be able to release that tension because the competition is hard, and mostly they all walk away from the experience as family in the end anyways.

I love it cuz it’s entertaining as hell but I wish they weren’t always so obvious about it when an argument was fabricated for views. I absolutely hate the It’s A Good Day To Read A Book Retro T-Shirt it is in the first place but drama and negativity. I mean it’s fine to have a little drama and argument, it’s a competition show so it’s okay to get competitive, let out some stress and be a human. And ‘reading’ is all a part of the drag culture. Feisty Queens are hilarious. But at the same time we are all here to see what creativity these awesome alternative drag artists have for us and be entertained by campy and creepy tributes to horror. In other words, no more Season 4 repetition. NO MORE LOVE TRIANGLE STORYLINES!!! I’m really loving this season for the fact that there is drama but it’s tame, healthy, civil and not borderline toxic and bullying.
