I stopped caring about Target when I interviewed with Target Labs, a Silicon Valley office where they did data mining etc.. After the interview they not only ghosted me, they ghosted the recruiter – and he tried for a month to get a response. It sounds like the stock only dipped cause of some dumb merchandising pr. Doesn’t really mean much but I might buy some stock for the cheap. I’m not happy about it. I’m super into board games and it’s one of the only big grocery stores that seems to respect them medium and stock honest to goodness good board games. One of my favorites was made through partnership with Target and my favorite publisher so it’s a literal Target exclusive!

Targets markup is lik 5-7x factory cost vs 2-3x for most retailers… and they want to compete on price with walmart a lot of the time. So the cost difference has to come from somewhere and it’s often the factory lowering the quality while upping the “look” to make it seem more quality. Not surprised. I used to spend a lot of time in Target, but now it is just a weird place to be and I don’t like going there. The aisles make no sense, the clothes and home decor is not to my taste. It feels like it lost what made it great somehow. Now reading the comments I realize I totally missed something. I thought Target had been going downhill for quite awhile. I guess now people are mad they are selling pride items? Haven’t they always done that?

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
