Different dentists have different methods when removing tartar. Usually it’s painless for me but a few years ago I tried a new dentist and he was basically just chopping my gums for what felt like half an hour. I’ve never had so much blood in my mouth. Obviously I never went back. People need to know this. Some dentists are CRAZY motherfuckers with how they treat things. They have never been painful except for holding my jaw wide open for the period of time it takes to complete. If you are having painful root canals, you may want to consider a different dentist or a referral to a specialist that does them regularly.

Root canal CAN be fully numbed, it’s just that some people let it go too long and once it’s all inflamed and angry, the Ipad baby I only care about screens shirt in other words I will buy this anesthesia they use does not always penetrate deep enough to matter, but you should never really be in pain, the second that you have any discomfort they should really add more anesthesia. When I had mine done, they anesthetized the entire right side of my mouth, via the nerve in the back of my jaw. I couldn’t feel anything at all. The anesthesia was not super awesome, but local anesthesia is pretty much always briefly painful. If your dental hygiene is bad your gums get incredibly inflamed, to the point where a deep clean is agonizing and bleeds a lot. I’ve had probably close to a hundred fillings (some without anaesthetic) and a root canal, but it was my first proper clean that convinced me to start taking better care of my teeth, because it was hands down the most painful experience of my life.
